Art by the g8 Artists Group

work by graham ensor

My work evolves and develops through a passion for exploring the landscape and the way I see the world in general. Repeat elements are often a starting point for investigation which in turn are used to explore unexpected and chance interactions through the layering of images or objects, media, materials and techniques.

“I try to use the creative act to investigate the wonder of creation itself, the way the world works, evolution....mark making, rhythms and repeats from the visual ‘spectrum’ become symbols and metaphors for the beating heart of our existence, the DNA of our universe, the chaotic order of things.”

My interest in astronomy and studies from my meteorite collection continue to have a profound influence on my art. Work shown here is a sample from various projects, many inspired by imagery and experiences when travelling in the USA and in particularly, seeing a total eclipse over the Nulabor plain in Australia.
