The "g8artists" is a group of artists based in Leicestershire who enjoy the challenge and collaboration of working together for exhibitions and projects. From 2008 -2010 seven artists worked on the "Timescape" project at Calke Abbey, Derbyshire, developing our research and planning skills, showing contemporary art that provoked a very positive public engagement. Since then, individual artist's interest and commitments have changed. g8artists is now a dynamic and exploratory group of four artists who collaborate together. They meet on a regular basis for mutual support, to discuss art and issues that fascinate and provoke their work. Although the individuals' media and methods are very varied and different they are all ideas-led and take an original, experimental approach. Their work includes drawing, painting, print, textile, photography, sculpture and mixed media.

Previous group exhibitions and projects include:

  • 1999 Medical Sciences University of Leicester commission
